"HOSPITAL-BASED INPATIENT PSYCHIATRIC SERVICES (HBIPS) CORE MEASURES: Implementation Strategies for an October Launch"
A four-hour training on compact disc
The Joint Commission (JC) has posted final specifications for a set of hospital-based inpatient psychiatric services (HBIPS) core measures. Starting in October 2008, the measures will be available for hospitals to use to fulfill the requirements of performance measurement reporting. This four-hour training on compact disc is designed to help hospitals prepare for the October launch of the core measures. Faculty from The Joint Commission provide background on how the accrediting body envisions these core measures being used as part of the hospital accreditation process, including a discussion of the latest Joint Commission policies. Discussants from behavioral healthcare organizations that have pilot-tested the HBIPS measures and worked to use the data to improve care within their facilities share their experiences with the process.
ORYX vendors provide ideas about how you can make the reporting meaningful within your organization.
