| Learn what behavioral
healthcare providers need to know to get ready to be reimbursed for partial
hospitalization and outpatient services Starting
August 1, 2000, a totally new prospective payment reimbursement system will take
effect for behavioral healthcare providers offering partial hospitalization and outpatient
services under the Medicare program. Your financial systems will need to revamp for
this dramatic change - in a very short period of time.
To help members prepare, the National Association
of Psychiatric Health Systems has recorded a two-hour workshop exclusively focused
on the implications of outpatient PPS for behavioral healthcare providers. The
audiotapes feature experts in behavioral health reimbursement, including staff from the
Health Care Financing Administration, and a fiscal intermediary.
A workbook including sample forms with behavioral
health examples and key HCFA training documents will help you follow the audiotape
training and work with your own staff to implement changes necessary to be reimbursed
under this new system.
